Hi, how can I do some magnets?

I have mine printed at Vistaprint...love them!

You can find designs on the DIS boards...as long as you follow the rules (only personal use, etc.), you can use any of them.

I was wondering this also! I have found tons of magnets that I would love to have and I understand that the DISigners will personalize it for you, but what do you do from there? How do you actually make the magnet?

I was in your shoes not too long ago and after all the advice and help of the wonderful people on this forum, I ended up buying magnetic adhesive sheets from Michaels. Although many people have them printed at Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc. I bought photo paper and just printed on there or you can print on regular paper and laminate them. Then you just put the picture on the magnetic adhesive sheet and cut it out. Voila you have a fabulous magnet for your door!

Ok, let me make sure I have this correct: I let Barb or one of the other DISigners know which designs I would like, then once ready, print them on photo paper and apply them to magnetic adhesive sheets? Do I laminate the photo paper or only regular paper? I'm assuming since it is magnetic adhesive sheets that the photo paper will just stick to them?

Sorry OP, not trying to highjack but I have been really curious about this and really want to do this for our upcoming cruises.

I did not laminate the ones I made on photo paper and they look great! It really is rather simple and my husband thinks I have made too many but it is really fun. Plus the designers on here are absolutely amazing so it is hard to choose just a few.

Thank you! Maybe I will start attempting these this weekend for our cruise in May. You are right, I found so many lovely designs that I will have a hard time choosing just a few. Very talented people that are willing to share those talents with us.
