Animal Kingdom

Character meals in general - I just don't think they are worth the exorbitant amount of money that some of them cost.

1. Le Cellier
2. Dining plan

We ate at Le Cellier for the first time in 2011 after reading so many wonderful reviews of the food and whatnot. We were not impressed at all. Seating is VERY cramped and the food was just okay. The overall atmosphere is nice, but that's it. And now since it's a signature restaurant, we will very most likely never return.

And then the dining plan. Had only once because it was free. Every trip we've made, I've saved ALL of our receipts from meals and snacks and I add it all up when we get back home. We always spend around $500 less paying out of pocket versus what the dining plan would have cost us. The only time I'd use it is if it ws free. Other than that, for us, we'd be severly overpaying for food if we bought it.

I actually completely agree with this...

OK, let me see if I can tighten this thread up a bit. Things that people just don't get about Walt Disney World: Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Restaurants, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Downtown Disney. Does that just about cover it? I think we left out the parking lots, buses and the golf courses, any takers? How will Disney survive.

Peter Pan? Really? That's just blaspheme. If you are saying worth a 90 minute wait, ok I'm with you. But with a fastpass? Tsk, tsk. (Sarcasm)

Interactive queues.

Maybe I'm spoiled because I usually travel during slower times of the year and I have an AP, so lines aren't something I wait in anyway, but when I go to an attraction, I don't want to be forced to play a game (Soarin) or try to get around people playing games to get inside. I just want the shortest most direct path from outside attraction to inside attraction - I don't need the extra distractions.

On a similar note, I prefer to be entertained as opposed to being part of the entertainment itself, so I don't get the appeal of shows like Turtle Talk or Monsters Inc. If I could guarantee I wouldn't have to be a part of the show, then OK, but without that guarantee, I'm not going in.

I agree about the vinylmation thing. I think they're awful looking.

Putting my flame suit on here but I don't get pin trading or at least not pin trading on a large scale. I am not really a collector and can't imagine what I would do with hundreds of pins nor can I imagine spending a lot of money on them. I know, I know. Many people love it but not me. That's why I'm posting about it under this thread!

I think you can safely go see Turtle Talk with Crush. He's a pretty smart turtle and likely would steer clear of the grumpy large dude in the back.

But you raised my eyebrow when you remarked "I just want the shortest most direct path from outside attraction to inside attraction - I don't need the extra distractions."

To me, the "extra distractions" are really the biggest part of the WDW magic. If we didn't have those, we would simply be moving from A to B, ignoring the wonderful sights along the way.
