I'm a disability attorney. My partner talked me into an office with a steep set of stairs and no elevator. I thought it was okay because I do most business by phone conferences. Well, more and more clients wanted to start meeting me in person. The first thing they told me when they walked up the stairs was how difficult it was for them.

I was very appreciative of their feedback and am now moving to a building with absolutely no steps. Many times professionals don't know the difficulties that their clients and patients have unless they are told. I know it should be obvious to the professionals, but my reasoning was I do most of my work over the phone and then things changed. I think if you like the doctor you need to express your concerns to him. If he doesn't listen then it's time to find a new doctor.
