what others rave about and you just dont get it
![]() I mainly lurk, and find out loads of info. I make notes things to try and do, and then in due course I try them. Some have dissapointed, big time but have been raved about. What have you really wanted to try because loads of people have raved about it? mine, 1, citrus swirl, its ok but really just ok, I'd rather have a dole whip!!!!2, Soarin, have only done it once will not do it again, possibly because I dont really like heights. 3, House of Blues Sunday Brunch, I found it somewhat odd, very over the top, having said that the buffet was fantastic. I don't get the Dole Whip.
It's okay, but just soft serve ice cream. DH and I only took a couple bites and threw the rest away. Not sure what I was expecting, but wouldn't really have to be in the mood for ice cream. And it was WAY too big. DH went up and got it so not sure if they come in sizes and he ordered a large, but it was enough for a family to share. |

Soarin' we were just discussing the other day how disappointing it was and not worth the wait to ride again but we were happy to have given it a try so we would know what it was about.
Park Hoppers. It caused more stress than it relieved for our family.

I don't get the dole whip thing either. It is okay if you have FD and have lots of snack credits to burn. Another is Illuminations. I'd rather wait for Wishes or fantasmic. Wishes is way better and Fantasmic has seating.

DHS, overall, it is not a park we go to often We've been once in four trips and were underwhelmed by things to do there. We are trying it again this time if we can somehow snag TSM FPs.

I read a lot more than I post. I like that Disney has many options so that we are all happy, but there are a few things I don't get the hoopla about it. (and I have tried them all) I think it is almost cultish. LOL
Dolewhips Duffy The NEW Test Track Zebra Domes Schoolbread (very underwhelming) The Lego Store Le Cellier (I have had better steaks locally and in travling around the nation, especially in the South) |

Carousel of Progress. I realize it appeals to the sentiment of days gone by, but the last scene is just so horribly bad

Heres a controversial one, but I just don't get Wishes. Everything tells me I should like it but it does nothing for me. I could watch Illuminations all night long (and probably cry every time too), and I always sit with my jaw dropped at the end of Fantasmic. I think she Wishes song (the little girl singing) grates on me and the actual fireworks are a bit "meh".
Although even if we're not watching Wishes and doing rides instead I always try and make sure I see Tink fly so I guess I really like that bit!

Tonga Toast. I tried it for the first time on my Disneymoon and it was just a huge chunk of dry french toast with a few tiny slices of banana in the middle. Yuck.

For me it's Tonga Toast.
Too big, too sweet, too fried----- too much! I feel like my cholesterol raised 100 points with one bite. I don't know how people can eat it without throwing up. |
