For those of you that have been to Cartegena on a cruise ship before, is there someplace at the port you can get your passport stamped?

We are also Doing Las Caletas with DS

We are also booked for Las Caletas in PV, and possibly taking one of our nieces along as well.

Great question! DS really wants the stamp (so does Hubby).

Would love getting a stamp too.
What are you all doing in this port?
Thought we would taxi in and just enjoy walking about and taking photos.

Wave phones

Do people carry these about in their pockets or small purses?
Are they useful(no kids with us).

We have kids, and they were only useful for contact with kids clubs. Otherwise, we never really used them. But that was only a one week cruise - I imagine they will come in handy as we go about, doing our own thing.

Having kids, I always had a bag with me. But skirts with pockets were handy too!

Did a little non-Disboard research. Someone who has done this many times before mentioned to go to the immigration desk at the port (but not customs), and they will stamp it for you. I will also ask Guest Services on the boat for advice.

I read somewhere, but I'm not 100% sure....you can leave your passport at Guest Service and they will get a stamp for you.

I carry mine in my pocket. I find them very useful as we don't have kids and we tend to do different things but if we need to meet up just a quick call away. Or now if someone makes a food run for our balcony we can ask what we want. I love the phones.

So here is our answer...from another Disboarder...

Guest Services does accept passports (and gives you a receipt) to TRY to get stamps. They cannot promise, they can only ask the Customs officials at the various countries the ship visits to stamp them. Since a stamp isn't required, it is totally up to the agent.

This includes from Castaway cay, although it of course says "Bahamas", not Castaway.

Hope this helps!
