Hiya Cass! The Dream is a beauty! Of course not nearly as beautiful as my Sweet Polly Robin. (that should get me a few smoochers eh?)

It had been decided (not by me) that we would again have late dining...let the record show i despise eating that late but i'm a team player and for the 2nd cruise i a row agreed..

Tonight we would be dining in Enchanted Garden.
Disney really did an AMAZING JOB with the restraunts on the Dream!!



We usually dine with dis friends and its all preplanned but this cruise was kind of "late planned" (for us anyway)..so we wernt really sure who we'd be assigned to dine with and were a little nervous about letting people into our "bubble"..But i must say Disney did a great job of matching us up with 2 other couples.
Hope they dont mind that i'm posting this pic from AP later in the cruise.
Chris and Linda, Jill and Bob and Mike and Robin.
Robin would give Linda a story to tell her kids later in the cruise.
She always plays the shy, demure one, but truth be told she's Trouble!


I'm usually the picky eater between the 2 of us, but when it comes to cruises i'm easy..Give me a steak and fries every night of the cruise and i'll be fine. Robin has been having more trouble lately because she's allergic to shrimp and some of the choices wernt appealing to her anyway, but we really dont cruise for the fancy foods anyway.

We had previously decided to just skip most of the shows and instead take the time to explore the Dream.. and thats what we did!










After a long and exciting day..we finally crashed around midnite.

MONDAY Dec 3rd

Early breakfast at Cabanas. have i mentioned how much we loved this place? Especially once we figured out the "stations" of it...Early on we noticed to simply go around to one of the stations near the back of the place and get the same food and avoid the lines.

Underdog loves those kids divided plates!




It was sunny and 75 degrees but breezy this day and decided to tackle the AquaDuck early and see what all the buzz was about..I must admit it was fun but its really not any better than anything at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach..just the fact its on the ship makes it fun though!

We made a mad dash to the hot tub to warm up after the AquaDuck.









more exploring and pictures, Flo's for lunch and then ice cream galore!








i made my own ice cream cookie sandwich just like the Bakery at MK!


Did someone say Smoothie??


We decided to relax and catch a movie..Wreck it Ralph was playing so we headed for the theater..We loved it!!

After the movie we strolled the ship inside and out..While we didnt have the kids or grandkids with us, we couldnt help but think how much theyd love the pool play area.

Before heading for dinner at Royal Palace we stopped by the gift shops...Big mistake as we saw a few items we wanted but we're TRYING to resist them!

DCL Shadowbox Porthole by Dave Avanzino($175!!)....we have a Magic Kingdom one at home.


Robin likes the Thomas Kinkade art.



Happy to report we passed on these because we knew we were going to Theme Park Connection store after the cruise and we'd surely find goodies there..(boy did we!!) But more on that later.

Time for dinner..The Royal Palace was amazing!!





I had the beef tenderloin and my only complaint was they put it right on top of SNOW PEAS!! Foods arnt supposed to touch!








A good friend of ours loves her some bathroom pictures so Robin went on a mission!







Back to the room around 10:30..


We were falling in love with these DCL bed pillows and made it our mission to find out how to get them for home..We stripped one down and found the Harbor Linen tag and wrote down the web address and product # from it before putting the pillowcases back on...several inquires to the company proved fruitless but i'm happy to report we found a couple of brand new ones on ebay and now we're sleeping on DCL pillows every night!
Doesnt take much to make us happy eh?

Tomorow would be Castaway Cay day and we were very excited for that!!

Isn't Cabanas awesome???!!! A huge improvement over Topsiders/BBB for sure! I heard a rumour that the classic ships will be getting their version of Cabanas too

I loved those pillows too but wasn't smart enough to think of stripping them to find out the name of the manufacturer!!!!

Glad to hear someone is in the same boat as me! I can't stand eating that late, but got outvoted by the other adults in my party last time --- and again this next time! Oh, well!!

More time to relax before dinner I guess!
