If you cruise for Linda's 50th she can be on multiple islands

That was the best pre-cruise thread I have been a part of - it was made the time go by a bit faster - and the cruise itself was a lot of fun!!

I'm still working the cruise idea for her 50th - I picked a 2 week cruise on the Fantasy for my 50th last year - I loved every minute of it!!

I don't think any cruise will ever be as much Fun and memorable as that 2010 Halloween cruise. And most definately it was because of all you DIS people that cruised with us!!! Any cruise with Disney is Fantastic, but still none can beat that 2010 one for me

Two weeks sounds like a WONDERFUL time! I was toying with pulling the kids out of school and homeschooling for the last quarter because there are some INCREDIBLE military discounts for the Panama Canal cruise in May, but they like their school so it was a no go.

But seriously each new meet I join I compare to that pre-cruise thread and I feel let down, and now with everyone wanting a fb page instead I find myself feeling old, wishing for the good 'ole days.

And when Jen gets this new, NEW job we are going to have some more down time. J/K Jen you know I'm rooting for you!

Hmm, you'd think so huh?

Jen is trying hard to get used to her new hours, but as she said, she has an interview for a job where she can have normal person hours. We are praying for her to get this. It would make things so much easier and the days of Jen walking around like a zombie would be over. Then she'd have plenty of time for trip reporting!!!

I agree with you Halloween 2010 cruisers. It was such a fun group! I've been on nicer cruise ships, but the friendships made on the Dis makes Disney a better overall experience. We've been so lucky to be part of some great cruising groups. Hopefully our next Disney cruise will be the same.

There is a STRONG Rumour that DCL will be making an announcement on Monday (the 11th) that will be followed immidiately by the release of more 2014 dates! If that is true, we should all start thinking of a reunion cruise!!!

I really, really hope they are! I am praying they are coming back to NYC in the summer next year- couldn't do it last year, and it is soooooo close to home.... Count me in as another big fan of our Halloween cruise!

. I do have a question to ask and that is can you buy food at the resort to make some breakfast as it seems that the restaurant doesn't open till 11am?

The store at the resort had some food items. I remember seeing some canned foods and chips. They may have had some breakfast food that you can prepare in the room. I was shopping for a tshirt while I was in there and didn't pay close enough attention. However, I did take note that the coffee kiosk in the lobby had pastries for sale.

The store carry's canned stuff, like Ron mentioned, but a very slim selection. Mircrowavalbe stuff (chef boyrdee, mac N Cheese ect..). We found a publix grocery store just a short drive away, and bought the fixings for one dinner meal and one breakfast meal. It was great! What was even better was loading up that dishwasher to wash everything up later!

I completely agree -- the Halloween one was my family's first one and now Steve and I have racked up six more plus made some interesting career choices from it! Golly how the time flies!!!!! Miss you all and would love to do a reunion cruise with all of you. Judy is right, there is a huge rumor that DCL will be announcing the remainder of 2014 soon. possibly next week but who knows (they've tricked us all before!) So stay tuned!

Even though Steve and I only did the 2-day last June out of NY, it was so much fun sailing past the Statue of Liberty. It was only adults so the first time for us using the "Not-So-Quiet" Cove pool on the Magic. Definitely a cruise I'd repeat again, but hopefully for a much longer time and with the kiddos. Love the convenience of hopping a train from Union Station in DC up to NYC!
