Ok, my husband and I are planning a May trip for the 2 of us. We usually stay CL at the BW, but are going to venture out of our comfort zone and try the BC CL. Looking forward to it.

We went to Jellyrolls for the first time last week and LOVED IT! It was so much fun. They played all kinds of different music and all the musicians were so much fun. People were up dancing, it was great!

Yes, this place has two guys on pianos and they are phenomenal!

We were standing in the back last time because there were no tables available. It actually made for a better experience because we could dance. I am in my element when at Jellyrolls- singing, dancing, pianos, and beer make a fantastic combination. The nice thing too is that they get requests for very popular and classic songs that most everyone knows (except for when they do Jimmy Buffet I'm like ) so the whole bar usually sings along.

I'll be staying BC CL in a week & 4 days, so I will give you my honest opinion & TR! It is our first time at the BC as guests as well, we usually stay at the POLY CL!

The chowder was ok. I should have listened to the waitress. My New England prejudice may be rearing its ugly head, but seafood chowder NEEDS a cream base. And skip the tomatoes. It just aint right!


ETA- Ok OK, not icky.

I worked for a seafood restaurant, The Weathervane based in Maine/NH. When we opened a couple of restaurants in NY, I went out to train the staff. What fun I had when I served the guests milk based chowder. They were all like "What's this???"

I was TOTALLY thinking this same thing today...missed out 2 years ago with no booking dinner package with NPH...not going to make the same mistake twice!

Thanks outahere for the info about where the elevators are. I'm going to take off the request to be close to the lobby. Especially hearing that the ice machine and beverage/ food prep area is near the there. Lol.... Glad to hear also that the hallway is not too long. Thanks again!!!!!

The NY branches did not really make a go of it! People just could not warm up to the white chowder.

I'm pretty sure I trained some folks at the Saratoga Springs location when it opened. The two places I worked at, in Kittery ME and Dover NH are still both doing well.
