Fort Wilderness themed birthday party
(You may have seen my thread about this posted in the Community Board, but I thought FW regulars might get a kick out of it!)
This past Sunday I held a Fort Wilderness themed birthday party for my husband! It's our resort of choice, and it feels like home away from home. This past year we weren't able to make it in the fall like we normally do, so we're really missing it, my husband particularly! Well, I'm happy to share that the party was a great success. The theme was a hit with everyone (ESPECIALLY the food), but my husband was particularly thrilled and touched by the idea. Just the day before the party, he was musing over breakfast about how much he missed Fort Wilderness, just sitting on the porch at Trail's End and listening to the music, watching the lizards scrabble by, etc.  We did a pin trading game (hubby is a pin trading fanatic), Fort Wilderness trivia, ate our favourites from Trail's End and the Hoop-Dee-Doo, and wore an astounding amount of plaid surrounded by an amazing amount of gingham. :P Some photos!
