Shallow water snorkeling for kids grand cayman or Cozumel?

We will be on the april 8th wonder cruise to grand cayman and cozumel. Would love to go snorkeling with my 7 and 8 year olds. Anyone know of any shallow water snorkeling (I.e. 4 feet or so)? Thanks

I do not know about shallow snorkeling but you want to take your kids to the Stingray City on Grand Cayman Island. If you search on the INTERNET for "Stingray City Grand Cayman" you will see lots of video of the excursion. It is just a shallow place out in the ocean that the Stingray come up to be fed by the tourists. This was my favorite excursion we have ever done. The excursion we did did Snorkeling in a place that had large starfish (about 10 feet deep), Stingray City and then snorkeling with fish and coral about 7 to 10 foot deep.

Disney's Island has snorkeling that is shallow when we did it several years ago. You might want to get a confirmation from someone that has snorkeled on the island in the last year.

Castaway Cay is not shallow - you are looking at about 7-10 feet if you want to see anything (sunken ship, mickey, etc). And you need to do a nice swim in order to get there...

We did the 3 reef snorkel excursion in Cozumel through DCL. Didn't book until we were on the cruise because we wanted to make sure the weather was good. You see lots of fish but not that much coral. the water was clear and the snorkeling was fantastic for adults. The water is 10-20 feet deep. the waters were rough the day we went and the water tastes nasty. They gave you a life vest that you could inflate to your liking. There were 2 young boys on the excursion and they didn't look like they had a good time in the water (one ended up staying on the boat after the first snorkel) so based on that I don't think I would recommend for young kids.
