I know that you can obtain a list of the pressed pennies for WDW from a CM, I'd imagine there is something similar for one at DLR too.

Can you read the year on the coin, after you press it?

I've gone from amateur to serious collector now. I now have over 750 pennies from both DLR and WDW. I can answer a lot of questions if anybody has them.
Here is how I'm displaying my pennies in a archival type binder. ![]()

Maybe. In other words, it's possible but you have to press the penny in a particular fashion to accomplish it. You need to have it on the reverse (the flat side). To do that, you usually face the penny away from the quarters. Many collectors like to use a particular year (their birth year, for example).
It's helpful if you use a penny that has some tarnish on the date. Many people like to use brilliant but uncirculated pennies (BU) which may not show the date because they are too clean. I suggest you use copper pennies only if you want them to have any future collector value. |

I can't remember. Are the machines 1 quarter and 1 penny each. We were surprised about this "adventure" last time on our first family trip and it was something our 2 boys enjoyed doing. Instead of digging around at each and every machine this time for change, I'm gonna be prepared and have a bunch of quarters and pennies in a bag and ready to go.
Thanks. |
