Cruising next week (yay!) and wondering what movies are currently playing on the ship. I'm mainly curious, but I was kinda hoping for an early showing of Oz!

We were on 1/27 - 1/31 and they were playing Wreck It Ralph, Lincoln, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and Brave.

They do not show movies early, especially this early (Oz is due out 3/8). Movies open on the ship the same day they open on land. They will often do a midnight showing of a new movie but, again, it will be the morning that it is scheduled to open on land.

From the FAQ sticky on the first page:

You can call 888-325-2500, choose the reservations option, then ask what movies will be showing the week you cruise.

Call within 2 weeks of your cruise for the correct movies.

DCL does not show movies prior to their release date. Oz is not due to be released until the 8th of March. There will be a Premiear at Sea at midnight (when the 7th becomes the 8th). It will not play sooner.

Last cruise we disembarked the same day Finding Nemo 3D opened and next cruise we disembark the day Oz opens. What the heck! Someday we will make it to a PremEAR!

Does Disney check to see when you're cruising then postpone their movie openings?

Oz should have been released months ago; and the Lone Ranger too.

I don't see any reason it won't be playing. It's Disney and opens on the 8th so you should be fine. We're cruising on the 9th and looking forward to seeing it. The cruise is a surprise for the kids and dd saw a trailer for Oz last night and said she really wants to see it. I promised to take her during spring break :-) Just didn't mention it'd be on the Fantasy :-)

I just called DCL today to see what would be playing on our 2/17 cruise. They told me that Avengers, Brave, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Finding Nemo, Lincoln and Wreck It Ralph would be playing (but it is subject to change).
