I would choose Cozumel. Grand Cayman would be my second choice.

I'm jealous!

Grand Cayman was my favorite. I enjoyed the abundant wildlife, visibility, temperature and dive operation at GC. Cozumel was great but the dive operation was not as nice and as organized as in GC. In addition, the wildlife was not as diverse but that could have been a result of an approaching storm. By the time the cruise ship arrived in Costa Maya weather conditions where not ideal for diving so they where canceled. All my dive excursions where arranged by the ship.

I spend a week in Cozumel every year to dive. I would chose Cozumel. When we went on the Thanksgiving cruise this year, I looked at what DCL was charging for diving and I know it can be done cheaper on your own through the dive shops.

I enjoyed Cozumel but be aware there is a strong current in the area. Drift diving is fun

Costa maya diving was just meh, according to my husband. Diving in Cozumel was awesome! We went with a separate dive shop, couldn't dive through Disney as our DD is Junior Open Water certified and they won't take divers under 12 (she was 11 at the time). We used Deep Blue, they were well organized, and we had a great 2 dives, first dive was coral canyons, absolutely beautiful! Second dive was a drift dive, not as pretty coral, but lots of cool sea life, we even found a sea horse!

The price was great, and they arranged a boat just for our group as the Fantasy got in later then their early boat was scheduled to leave.
