Can't wait for details on the Magic in the Med! We are definitely booking it, but not sure what dates or ports they will be doing. Really liked the look of the Venice itinerary this summer. Not so thrilled with the prospect of Turkey and Greece though.
Just wish they'd announce it already so we can get our booking in!

It will be interesting to see the price tag that comes with a 9-day Alaska cruise. Not sure it would be worth it to add two days to go to Sitka, but Alaska has a lot to love.
We cruised to Sitka several years ago, and FWIW the place looks nothing like the movie "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock. That movie was filmed in rural Massachusetts. In the real Sitka we saw the Archangel dancers do traditional Russian dances -- the dancers are all women but they put their heart and soul into the male roles as well as the female ones. Not sure what the venue was, but it looked like a high school cafeteria/auditorium with folding chairs. I checked out the current visitor sites (Google is my friend) and there's a raptor rescue place that treats injured bald eagles. There's also a bear sanctuary that rescues orphaned bear cubs and rehabs them til they're ready to go to a zoo. |

man I was hoping for either Hawaii or NY. Would love a Med cruise for 2014 but with the prices they are already showing for the old and tired itineraries, I can't imagine what the Med cruises will be going for! Probably just cheaper to go to DLP!

We are going on our first Disney cruise in May. I am sure we are going to like it and want to book again. From what I have read the prices are the cheapest opening day, is this correct? If I book a cruise when 2014 dates are released, can I apply the 10% on board discount and OBC to this reservation?

For a cruise to be one-way from one U.S. port to another, they have to stop at a "distant" foreign port. Nowhere in Canada or Mexico is considered "distant" enough to meet that requirement. |

So either a classic ship will sail out of Miami or even PC, or the Dream will do another double dip. Maybe silverfox will shed some light?

![]() For Transatlantic cruises, we are having to stay home with our daughter who is siting some exams in May and will not let me travel alone, believe me I have asked. Anyway, we are looking for a WBTA or both a EBTA also. I really dont think what the customer wants is what DCL provides any longer, that said I really enjoyed our 5 night on the Dream at Christmas. It will be able to see what DCL think of the tensions in Greece and Turkey, a US tourist found dead this morning which may make them rethink the eastern MED options. Do I wait to book on board in Jun or do I do it straight away when the dates are released to Platinum cruisers? |
