Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace?

We leave in 4 days!!! Why I'm trying to change things now ill never know! Lol well I do know why. My SIL has decided to join in on our trip for the weekend. We have had a reservation at Chef Mickey at 7:40 next Friday night. After going over our plans I realized keeping the reservation at this time would cause SIL to miss wishes altogether as we have plans the other nights she is with us. Anyhow I've been calling trying to get an earlier res for Chef Mickey with no luck. I will keep trying & was also hoping to show up 30-40 min early & hope to be sat early & maybe make wishes in time. (Wishful thinking) so I was just checking our other options and found a 3:35 res for Crystal Palace. I took it just in case I change my mind about CM. I've never done either restaurant & this is our first time on the dining plan. Which would you choose? If I went with CP would I be able to watch the 3 o'clock parade first & then go right in?

Only issues my DD (first trip age 2 & 3/4) doesn't really care for pooh & friends at all. I just asked her which she would rather and she said definitely mickey! We do have breakfasts during our trip at tusker house & Ohana so if I'm reading correctly the only one we would miss by switching CM is Minnie Mouse right? I could ideally wait in line to meet her at some point I guess.

Sorry for rambling on soo much I'm just soo unsure of what to do. Any suggestions appreciated! TIA

Anyone? Any suggestions at all? I'm leaning toward crystal palace out of convenience of not leaving the park but still unsure.

I would go Crystal Palace. You could always do M&G to see Minnie.

We love Crystal, we feel there are more food choices at CP.

Based on food and convience I would do Crystal Palace.
We went to Chef Mickeys and the food was *meh* at best. Not something I would hurry back for.
Crystal Palace is great - we have always enjoyed our meals there. I know your little ones say they don't love Pooh and Friends - but I bet they will be excited to meet them once you get there. And you are meeting all of their other friends at other meals.
Plus the convience of being able to stay in the Park....
My vote is for Crystal Palace.

Thank you both! I think that's what we'll go with! Maybe our next trip in a few years well do a breakfast at chef mickey! Any idea with a 3:35 res at CP will we have time to see the parade and then head in even if we're just a few minutes late?

Chef Mickeys: love the characters, fun, festive atmosphere, food is bleh (breakfast is ok, dinner was truly on the lines of a bad tv dinner...and I'm not picky)

Crystal Palace: not our favorite characters, food is good (much tastier, fresher, and larger variety here), more convenient being there in the park

In the end, if you're already seeing most of the characters at CM at other restaurants, I'd go with Crystal Palace. The food is so much better and will allow you to see Wishes. Win, win!

Crystal Palace!!!
My boys had zero interest in the Pooh characters until we got there. The interaction was so wonderful and the dinner so good it was on our MUST DO list until my boys turned into teenagers & refused all character meals.

I always feel sad to pass it by and not eat there...

You'll be fine! We've checked in a little late more than once.

Another vote for CP! The food is better and the characters are fun especially Tigger. I honestly don't think you have to be a Pooh fan to enjoy it

Vote for CP. We did Chef Mickeys and the food was ok. The interaction with the characters wasn't that great and the tables were too close together. Crystal Palace had better food and it was roomier. Plus the characters were great.

As far as the food goes...Crystal Palace for Breakfast...we did not care for dinner at all. Chef Mickey's was definitely better, but still not great by any means. However, if you are looking for character interaction, Crystal Palace without a doubt ! Chef Mickeys you practically gotta beg them to send the characters out. Terrible interaction on 2 occasions. We thought the 1st time was just a fluke...so we tried it again...just as bad, for us anyway. Crystal Palace would be my pick !
