If you can, wait for 'Free Disney Dining' offer. Apart from our 1st 'Once in a lifetime' visit when we've stayed on Disney we've only done so when 'free dining' has been offered - this makes Disney hotel prices more reasonable. I think they start offering out in about August (that's when i booked this years holiday) - booked directly with Disney for £200 deposit.

My 1st thought was leave DH at home too - that's what I threatened this year when mine wasn't sure about doing Disney again - but then my kids will be 18 & 20

Enjoy the planning

Is free dining available in may?

Yeah, I think so - not an expert as haven't done it for a few years - I'll see if I can find anything.

Current offer is for Quick Service Dining plan 6th April 2013 (After Easter) until 8th December (Christmas crowds!). Booking earlier means you'll probably get standard dinning plan - depending on what hotel you stay in.

Have you got 4 Children & a baby (sorry I know that means you've got 5) You won't fit in one 'room' at Disney - or have a read that wrong. You may need to consider Family Suite or somewhere like Old Key West.

The Harry Potter bit looked amazing, and merchandise was great but there were so many people pushing around without care, and wasn't enough air conditioning - my children were melting before my eyes! I'm glad we went, but have no desire to again.
Seaworld doesn't interest me and I know that we would be MORE than happy with the main Disney parks and the water parks

I am tempted by art of animation - but the sentimental person in me would have the exact same room as last time if I could! lol

I am going to have to look at indirect flights and consider it. I know DH wont be keen, and I know that we'll both be less happy with the idea than before now that we have an extra baby to bring, but it is definitely worth considering. The problem is that apart from WDW in 2011, we've never even left the UK so we're totally not used to it!
I would really consider Art of Animation - we had a look around in November and it's really well themed, the food court is well above average for the values and because it's new it's spotless. Also the pool looks fantastic (Nemo themed).

On Disney website, Port Orleans & 14 day park tickets for 2 Adults, 3 children & an infant with free dining (I've done the maths now!!) would be 'Total price: £2,564.00 – reserve today for just £250 deposit' it must be a deposit of £50 per person then. I used dates 16th-29th May this year to give you an idea of what to budget, with food for 4 of you (don't think under 3s get their own dining credits) it doesn't seem too bad.

Wish mine were little again

If you stay at the value resorts and book in the UK you won't be eligible for free dining (unless things have changed). If you book at OKW you'll have to book a 2 bedroom Villa and that will be pretty expensive. You could always look at booking a value resort on the US site. You can get FD with the Value resorts if you book through the US site.

I think that there are too many children for them to stay at PO!

aug will be our first time flying indirect !! im a bit nervous i admit that but apparently you can get through customs much quicker than orlando plus it breaks the flight up a bit and it was at least £200 per person cheaper !!

we will have a 6,5 and 4 year old in tow so i can let you know after how traumatic the whole experience was in reality

my main concern is the baggage , pram , car seats etc

good luck with your saving/spending and planning

I hope no one minds, but I'm going to begin a new thread, to see if anyone can help me bargain hunt if I give proper specific details! I really have no clue and need all the help I can get.
Thank you so so much for all the info already! I'm so glad I have a while to digest things and try to work it all out!

Feel free to start a new thread if you wish but it is unlikely you will find any bargains for May 2014 at the moment since flights aren't even released until June.

Haha - you can see how new I am to this!
OK, well if I can start thinking about it, and bump it at some point in the future, it's a start, right?

Best you can do now is to work on a forecast of 2014 based on the 2013 prices and hope they don't jump too much. I have answered your post in your other thread accordingly
