Just wondering if their is shopping within walking distance of the ship and if so is it a safe area.

Yes...when you exit off the ship, turn to your left and follow the pathway that takes you to a shopping area with a bunch of different stores...everything from sunglasses and liquor to Gucci & Prada

Yes the shopping area is quite close to the ship. It is safe.

We loved the shopping in St. Thomas. Have fun!!

Absolutely - clean, lovely area, plenty of shops, friendly people, nice selection. You should also go downtown to the market. Again great area and fun shopping. A nice (long) walk along the shore, or plenty of transportation available both ways.

Easy, fun. Rates second only to Old Town in San Juan for port shopping IMHO.

can you tell me more about the market? we have been to here several times but have never ventured very far in and I think dh would love to do a market.
