No water shoes for DC.

Will we regret this? We don't own water shoes & its too late for me to run & get them before we leave (tomorrow!!). Our DC day is on Feb 8th.

Anyway..... How important is it to have water shoes? We will have flip flops for walking around but nothing for in the water.

My DH found his water shoes to be a saviour for his feet. DS didn't wear his (because he's "too cool" for water shoes .... sigh!) and made out just fine.

You will be fine without them, I am sure. Have a great time, and don't stress! DC is such a wonderful park, you will have a most amazing time no matter what's on your feet. But do take those flip flops for travelling comfortably on the walkways around the park .

Oh, also meant to add.....I am very sure you can buy them the park from one of the shops, if you decide you really need them.

we got ours in Wal-Mart in Orlando for $4 per pair compared to $17 in the park. it's worth taking the time out to get them especially if you are doing the dolphin swim and need to walk over the rocks to get to your pool - we couldn't have done without ours especially when in with the stingrays and fish.

OMG, I haven't even checked the most updated weather for that day. I can't believe I didn't check today...I've been a little OCD about it. So I'm going to go look right now.

Yay!! So happy for you (and us!). We made the right choice, I'm sure of it. CANNOT WAIT!!

I actually bought water shoes for the dolphin swim part of our DC day and ended up slipping more with the shoes than without. Save your money and just go barefoot for the swim and flip flops for the rest of the day. You'll be fine. The trainers even said the water shoes are worthless... although I'd love to know what kind of shoes they had on because they weren't slipping at all. Hmmm...

My kids and I all wore them but dh's fell apart and were painful for him to wear so he bought a pair of flip flops at DC and was perfectly fine without water shoes. I like to wear water shoes because I hate being barefoot but I think you will be fine.

We were there last year and didn't use water shoes at all and had no problems at all. We're going again this year and won't have them.
