vegan at Disney
Hi everybody I'm new to this site and was wondering about vegan food @ Disney. I'm really wondering about breakfast as well as every other meal but mainly breakfast. I would like to eat something besides fresh fruit everyday. I'm leaving February 27th and coming home March 5th. Can't wait!!!!

There's a lot of info in this thread:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread....ighlight=vegan A lot of it's for vegetarians, but vegan dishes are covered, too.

We will be there on the same dates! We have vegetarians and vegans in our party. Vegan involves a little planning but is very doable, and you can have some amazing meals. If you use the search feature for vegan on this forum you will find a lot of great info. Also check out menus on AllEars. I especially recommended Boma, Sanaa, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare (when Chef TJ is there--last I heard he was off Fri & Sat but I'm not positive now) but many others are good, too. QS is harder but Columbia Harbour House, Tortuga Tavern, Tangierine Cafe, and Sunshine Seasons are a few good ones that come to mind.

Most of the food courts sell Silk soy milk. I like having cereal and fruit at breakfast. France has a baguette and Norway has a bear claw pastry that are vegan (Epcot). Animal kingdom lodge will have your best variety. Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa have vegan dishes. I love, love the lighthouse sandwich at Columbia harbor House but you have to ask for it without the broccoli slaw. Tortuga tavern has a bean burrito you can get and add veggies to at a fixings bar.

Will have to look for that bear claw! That's funny we are going the same dates! I'm the only vegan on my trip. So sad nobody in my group shares my excitement when I find a restaurant that has vegan dishes.

My dd is not vegan, but has allergies that mean we are familiar with the vegan items (allergic to eggs, dairy, chicken, and turkey). Last year, she ate oatmeal, cereal, Mickey waffles

If you are doing breakfast buffets they have vegan waffles, granola, some type of roasted vegetable, and fruit.
I'm not sure if they have the vegan waffles at counter service. BOG in MK has a quinoa salad. CHH in MK has a sandwich they can make vegan by taking off one ingredient. The Moroccon counter service and Sunshine Seasons in Epcot will be your best bets for counter service. The counter service next to the Star Wars ride has a vegetable sandwich. Can't remember the name but there's a new vegetable sandwich in AK. Table service is easy, the chef will work with you. Even at 'Ohana my sister had a great meal (her best of the week probably).

You could also travel with a few favorites tucked away in your suitcase. Natural peanut butter, whole wheat wraps, and fruit make a delicious burrito.
Good luck and enjoy!
