Seasick on boat to Blue Lagoon?

We are planning on doing the Dolphin Swim at Blue Lagoon while in Nassau. I have read it is about a 30 minute boat ride. I get motion sickness very easily and was wondering if this is a bumpy ride or smooth sailing? Is it really 30 minutes?/ Anyone get seasick??

It is really 30-45 minutes.

Most of the ride is in the canal, with homes on either side (and you'll spend some time trying to find the homes of Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan). Very smooth.

The last 5 minutes or so are over more open water, and a little bumpier. It started raining on our way out there, so they closed up the plastic windows and that made it stuffy.

I was up top and I think it might have been smoother down in the cabin of the boat. It wasn't rough, but it wasn't like you weren't moving at all.

I get sea sick very easily. I've learned that there is no way to tell how you will do on any given boat ride, so I take dramamine no matter what. It isn't like sea sickness is something you can take something for after the fact and fare well I figure if I'm spending that much money, the LAST thing I want to happen is me puking in the garbage can or toilet while my family is swimming with dolphins!

I hear ya!! Will for sure take Dramamine, but if the boat is too rough - it sometimes won't work. Here's hoping for a SMOOTH RIDE.

I would agree with a previous poster - most of the trip is fine, but it was rough in places. We even got a little wet at one point. My husband gets wicked motion sickness and used the patch the whole cruise. He was fine on the boat trip to Blue Lagoon. If you're really worried, the patch worked great for him.
