We had planned on staying at POR in the Royal rooms, but...........
Is the royal rooms worth the extra money?Me, Wife, 3 boys ages 8/4/2.
From what i have read the royal rooms aren't that much better than the normal rooms at POR, and I'd hate to pay extra for no reason. Any suggestions? |

I stay every year at POR and one year, I would like to try the RR's just to say I did it, but I don't have to do so. You may find it fun once with your children at their age. Only you can ultimately decide if it is worth it to you. |

There is another thread that asked the same question. Have a look at the discussion there:

With 3 boys, I'd save the money.
I stayed in one and those rooms seemed to be the furthest from anywhere. While it was cool to see all the decor and the headboards with the fireworks, I won't be doing it again. |

The rooms are very pretty when we stayed there they just opened the RR's. so it way nice to think that not many ppl stayed in the room b4 us. But I would not stay there again. They can be very far way from everything. At least our was we were pretty much in the FQ. Lol it's nice to say we stayed there. My daughter was 5 at the time and she could have cared less about the room.

I probably wouldn't with three boys. Even though it's fairly gender neutral, I doubt boys would get the subtle princess movie references in the room.
We have always stayed in a standard room at POR and have no issues. Plus, royal rooms are pretty far from the main pool and the main building. I would say save the money and switch to standard. |

Thanks for the input everyone, the more I look at it, the more I think the standard rooms will be just fine,
