Renting strollers on board

My twins are 3 1/2 and barely use a stroller. We are a family of four traveling light with just two medium suitcases and would like to leave our stroller at home. Just worried about ports. I read you can rent one at guest services and to go when I get on board and just store in our room. We are arriving at port around 11:30. If we get on board soon after and go straight to guest services do you think I have a good chance or should I just bring the stroller from home?

Also I want to register for a tea at the same time once on board. Is that the time to do it?

We will be on the 6 night magic from Galveston if that makes a difference.

I believe you can "borrow" a stroller onboard - they charge your stateroom account something like $200 but it's refunded when you return the stroller. I've heard mixed reports about the strollers - some say they are old and don't work well, others have been very pleased with it. I don't know if there are double strollers. I think it's a jogger-style single. You may want to bring 2 umbrella strollers - they fold small and can stick in your closet or under the bed easily, and they don't count towards luggage (at least if you gate-check).

You can get tickets for "Tea with..." at the Guest Services desk onboard. This is free but requires a ticket and there are limited tickets available so I suggest going as soon as you are onboard.

Enjoy your cruise!

As above, there is no fee to borrow a stroller. A fee of $200 is charged to your KTTW account and refunded when you return the stroller.
These are large strollers and are not really suitable for use on the ship, but are great for excursions. There are literally hundreds of them, but they are first come, first served. As far as I know, there are no twin strollers available.

If you plan to use a stroller on the ship at all, I'm another vote for an umbrella stroller which will be small and will fit under the bed in your cabin.

Tea with are available at GS right after boarding if this is offered on your cruise.

We didn't have a problem with the strollers onboard. They had quite a few even later in the cruise when we needed to get one for DS when he fell asleep before dinner. We stored them in the tub when it wasn't being used. Not really an issue and since you aren't bringing much luggage, will have more room in the closet.

Will you share your experience with strollers on the magic when you get back? I have a 2 year old and wondering what works best. Thanks!
