Aqua Duck for a scaredy cat

My dear BFF is afraid of ALL rides, even slow ones. I'm pretty sure that going on the Aqua Duck is not even an option. We have watching the POV video's on youtube and she doesn't like the "dark" parts of the ride. She is also terrified of getting stuck inside the tube. I'm not going to try and talk her into riding this.. but it got me thinking? Has this ever happened??

I'm betting that it has since they tell you at the beginning if you get stuck someone will be there in just a minute to help you. It's not bad, but if she doesn't even like it on Youtube then it would be best not to push your luck. DH and I both rode once, but our cruise would not have been ruined without it.

The reason you get stuck is not because you get wedged in anywhere, it's because you slow down so much you stop moving. Just in case that's what she's worried about. The tube is plenty big for the raft and the riders, even this pooh-sized one. I had a great time, I was surprised how slow it actually goes and it's my understanding that you go faster the more weight you have. Makes sense. The dark sections are very short and you can always see sunlight, it's not like it long enough to actually get dark, more like shade.

I am terrified of rides, i wont even do mild ones like goofy's barnstormer or big thunder mountain. Splash Mountain is out of the question.

I was afraid of the aquaduck for the same reasons but--the POV video is deceptive. It goes VERY slow. Its never steep. It does not go into anywhere totally dark, just too dark for the video--like the pp says, its more like shade. I was worried about flipping the raft and getting stranded, but that did not happen. I was worried about where it goes out over the ship and I didnt even notice when it did. I was also worried about being dumped out into a pool where I would surely drown, but it doesn;t do that either.

so, make her GO FOR IT. Its fun, and very mild.
