No not weird at all , We do it all the time, soup for DD and DW and salad for myself than DD and myself switch half way through. We split dessert three ways, pay in cash and everyone was happy and very courteous. We do try to leave at least a 18% tip out of respect for the reduction in total bill and time invested for our server.
Don't forget you still have freedom of choice even when under the thumb of the mouse.

They have boxes for leftovers. So we know that boxes are in the restaurants. So I am guessing that is what the PP meant.

I think what the poster meant is that people are able to box up leftovers at Disney restaurants. This would not be possible if there were no boxes in the restaurant.

I'm guessing this person has either had their leftovers boxed up or seen someone have their leftovers boxed up and therefore knows that boxes exist in the restaurant.

I have had left overs boxed up and I have had take out soup before on 2 or 3 occasions and turned down on many other occasions. My only successful times have been right at opening for dinner at the inside check in podium.

We don't do the DDP but we have gone to Le Cellier, each gotten the soup and then shared a chocolate mousse.

Also if you're going during food and wine festival, you can buy cups of the cheese coup from one of the kiosks.
