Formal Night Pictures

I'm assuming that, since everyone will be dressed up for Formal Night, people will have the opportunity to have a "formal" picture taken. If so, in what format is the picture; portrait or landscape?

We're going to get a mat signed to go with this picture and I'd like to know the orientation of the picture so that I can get the mat properly signed. It would look really bad if I had the mat signed in a landscape format and the picture wound up being in a portrait format.

Does anyone have Formal Night pictures they can share?

It could be either way. In fact, they usually take a couple in each directions, so you get to decide which you like best.

We have formal pictures that are landscape and some that are portrait.
