Credit card issues
So, apparently, someone hacked into my Walmart.com account and purchased an e-giftcard for themselves and I had to call my bank. They're sending me a new card but our vacation is in just over a month and we haven't booked. If I book with my current CC number but have a different CC when I check in, is that going to be an issue? We are booking through Southwest Vacations but didn't know if Pop Century will ask for "the card we used to make the reservation" with. This is just a scary situation and I could really use a vacation now. Ha.

If you called your bank to cancel your card you won't be able to use that number to book a room.

I actually have to double check this. My bank's policy is that I'm able to use my card until the new one is activated. And seeing as I have a $1500 limit, I'd have to call anyway to increase it when I booked, anyway. This is just horrible timing.

No. You can pay with any card (or cash, check, traveler's check, gift card, yen, pesos.. whatever) when you check in.

You will have no problems checking in with a different card. I'm sorry you are going through this. I had this happen 2 years ago. It was a royal pain!
Don't worry. You will be fine!

Usually my bank is really good at catching these things but since my card information was stored on my account, I doubt my actual credit card number was acquired by the thief. I took my card off the account and changed the password. No other odd activity had appeared on my bank account so I think the guy/girl just got lucky somehow. It's still scary. It could have been a lot worse so I'm thankful for that.
