One year to the 2014 WDW Marathon!
Ok, ok, I know the 2013 Marathon is this weekend. I wish all of you the best of luck! I was originally registered for it, but I had to back out due to my second running related injury in 6 months (grrrr...a stress fracture).
In any case, my sights are set for 2014, the Goofy Challenge. You who are running in 2013 (this weekend) will be my inspiration. Anyone care to join?? 5k, kids races, half marathon, full marathon, Goofy ... doesn't matter. We have ONE YEAR to get ourselves healthy and in shape and in training form for this run. Let's do it!   Who's in?

I'm there! Starting general health / cardio / weight loss for a couple of months, then starting running, with the 'official' goofy training starting around July 1... UGH... that's going to suck with temps :/ But I am in it to win it!!! Well, ok, finish it upright
 that will be a win for me!

This morning I started the Jeff Galloway 1/2 marathon training program. In hopes that I will be ready by this time next year to run the WDW 1/2 marathon.

I can't see myself trying to do the Goofy but I will do the marathon again next year.

It's been a dream of mine to do the marathon. I finished the first step towards that by completing the half this weekend.
I won't lie...after crossing the finish line I really felt like I was way in over my head to even think about running the full. But the next day I was telling my husband "I want to do the full! I really want to do the full!" I have to drop a bit of weight (at least 20 lbs) and really watch what I eat. I'm just too slow as I am now. But I'm going to do it.

We were just discussing this over the weekend. I did the Goofy in 2007, and have wanted to get back every ince.
So know knee is healed (mostly) & we have decided to do WDW again. I am doing full Goofy, my DS is gonna do his first full , my SO is gonna do the Half & the DDIL is gonna do the 5K with my 5yo DGD. I have been back on the TM/Eliptical so I can get my body used to moving again. Downloaded the 28 week training program

I did the full in 2009,5k and 1/2 in 2010 and 2011. Right now a friend of mine at work- her husband wants to do the 1/2 in 2014, I told my DH and he said ya we can do that if you want.
I said REALLY??????? Ok so starting to plan for 2014.Right now not running at all-it was 2 degrees here the other day-need some motivating sunshine Linda

I'm planning on the half again in '14. Hoping DH will do it with me. Not sure if he will or if he'll choose the marathon. I'm hoping he'll go back to the Goofy. He can be sure that running the 1/2 with me is nice and slow, lol, so he won;t be worn out for the full.
This year I just wanted to finish. Now, I wanna improve my time. He'll probably try to talk me into the full but I'm not going to be ready for that (esp. what it takes in your head!)
