I, too, must tell you that I love this thread and would be sad to see it end. I can only imagine the hard work and time involved, so while I would understand the need to discontinue it I would sorely miss reading the updates everyday.

If you do decide to continue, I would be more than happy to send in updates when we are there in June. We will be there from June 24 - July 1.

Our First Update of the Day is also the final update from disneybride96, who's trip ended yesterday.


She started with a snack update from Epcot's...


Karamell-Küche







She said, "Three times we visited Karamell-Küche at Epcot's Germany Pavilion, so I think it deserves an update. First visit my DH got your basic caramel apple and I had the Caramel Apple Oatmeal cookie."






"This cookie is one of my new favorites. Nice juicy chunks of apple and lots of caramel."








"On another visit, My DH had this goody. I think it was called Werther's Crunchy Chew. Part candy, part cookie."




"And last, but not least..."









disneybride96 said, "There have been lots of reviews of Via Napoli, and all the good ones were right."



"Before we even had a bite, the place was beautiful. Yes, a little loud, but it is a pizzeria. The only time we found it too loud is when there was singing."

"I had the Quattro Formaggi. I don't know how white cheese pizza can taste so good. It really must be the crust. It was hot, and crunchy and chewy and tasty. Yumm."







Tiramisu - Mascarpone cream, espresso coffee, lady fingers, and chocolate


"For dessert, I had classic Tiramisu. It was very good, but the "theme park" version that did not include dark rum in the recipe."






Torta di "Mamma Rosario" - Apple cake with almond sorbetto


"DH had this. He described it as an old world cake. Kind of a quick bread. He enjoyed it, but I saw other things I would have tried first."




"We have found another must-do for our Disney vacations!"




disneybride96's final comments were, "Overall, only 2 places we found the food below par, Hoop-dee-do Revue and La Cantina de San Angel. We found several new ones to put on our favorites. Not a bad week of eating around the world."

Yesterday they were at Animal Kingdom and had lunch at...



Flame Tree Barbecue






"We had lunch at Flame Tree and we both had the chicken and ribs combo with one of each, chocolate and key lime mousse. The chicken was really moist, I was surprised by how good it was! The ribs were good but fairly small amount of meat on them. The BBQ sauce seemed like probably just Kraft or something similar. The key lime mousse was good once I took other DISer's advice and took the weird first layer off. Doug's chocolate mousse was "alright", so that means not that good!"




Then last night she had this treat from ...

"I enjoyed a chocolate peanut butter cupcake. Wow, was that good! Not too peanutbuttery (is that a word?) or sickeningly sweet. It was great!"



"I also tried a frozen chai tea slush yesterday and it was just okay. Too sweet and generic tasting for me."

Then this morning, marshallsmommy and family had breakfast at...

She said, "We were there when they opened so we got really fresh food! The biscuits and gravy were good, the strawberry soup was different but tasty, the bacon was sad limp Disney bacon. French toast bread pudding with vanilla sauce was good and they had a caramel banana sauce for your French toast or waffles that was warm and good! I like that they had 3 choices of yogurt and tons of stuff to put on it. Oh, they also had gummy bears. Of course, Marshall loved them!"
