How much is a taxi from WDW to Universal?
My son will be down there for spring break and wants to head to Universal. I'm guessing a taxi would be cheapest and easiest, but how much for a round trip?

Look into the Mears shared ride which would include transportation and tickets.

some disers have posted in the past that it cost them $35 from pick up at dtd.
they encountered no traffic on the way. most will say it was about $40 or up one way. the Mears deal is $19 per adult for round trip shuttle. pick up at your disney hotel, dropped off at UO. you sign up for that the night before with your hotel lobby concierge.

We used taxis over and back last summer. We went from the Boardwalk Villas to the HRH and then back the next day when we felt we were done. I think it ran about $40 + a tip. It was a zoned fare which was good because on the way home there was an accident & it took a really long time to get back. But for us the convenience was worthwhile as opposed to booking a shuttle (party of 3).

We found the drivers to be so rude! In the afternoon, we got on the bus and sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes as the driver waited for the next pick up time! It was a huge coach bus and already half full! We stopped at Sea World on the way back and it took the best part of two hours to get back to WDW! Never again, we now take taxis everywhere. This was in February 2012.
