Using an Air Mattress at POR
In the Mansions section we have used a twin size air mattress in the past. I am curious to see if anyone has used a double/full size air mattress here? Not in the new royal rooms, but in the standard mansions. We are three adults that all would like our own beds, so using the murphy bed in Alligator Bayou would not work for us.

I doubt it would be comfortable at all to try and use a double but I think a nice twin sized one would fit just fine

I can't imagine that you could fit a double size airmattress in any POR room. Take a look at the room photos on the POR thread. There's not that much empty floor space.

I haven't been there in a few years, but my lasting thought about the rooms was that they were small.

Having gone through pictures with cribs and twin air mattresses to figure out how we'll fit two pack and plays for my twins I don't see any way to fit a double air mattress in these rooms.

OP here, thanks to everyone for your replies. We've used a twin in the past at Riverside, but it's been a few years and I figured a double would be just a little more comfortable than the twin. Twin air mattress it is!

Just curious- where do you put the twin air mattress? Where does it fit? Considering bringing one along with us for our trip b/c DS is a kicker and we all get sick of sharing a bed with him by day 3 of vacation

We stayed in a mansion room last Feb. It was small!!!
I don't see any place to put a full size mattress. A twin would be very tight. They did change the beds to queens when the refurbished, so there is less floor space than years ago. |

Abharmagic, at Riverside we put our twin between the exit door and the bed. So I was laying the same direction as the beds, just next to it. That way if anyone gets up through the night the air mattress is not in the way of anyone walking to the bathroom. During the day we leaned it up against the wall next to the bed, kind of behind the exit door.

Another air mattress question. I was worried to bring one as we are staying in a room that is for 4 people. There are only 4 of us going, on reservation, etc. I was concerned if I brought an air mattress and had it set up in the room it would look like we had 5 people in the room and we'd "get in trouble" (whatever that may mean- charged for additional person, made to move to a 5 person room, etc.) I don't know, I would love to bring the air mattress I just don't want to be seen as breaking the rules in any way- in other words I don't want to incur any additional fees b/c they think we are putting more people in a room than we paid for/booked.
