Beer

Crazy question but how much $$$ is a corona or bud light on the Dream? Wondering if it would be worth bringing our own.

I believe it's around $6 including tax & tip. Definitely more cost effective to bring your own HTH

You can buy 22 oz. beer mugs for I think $14.95. The mugs let you get 22 oz. draft beers for the 16 oz. price, and you can take them home at the end of the cruise. It's actually a pretty neat system...

When you buy the glass mug, they give you a token card. Present the token card at any bar, and you'll get the large beer served in the nice big DCL frosted glass beer stein. When you're done with the beer, give the empty back to the bartender/server, and order another one. If you're done, let them know and they'll give you the card token back.

At the end of the cruise, you can turn in the token card at any bar for a clean mug to take home with you. When you take your next Disney cruise, bring the mug and continue to enjoy big beers at the little beer price.

We discovered that they won't let you have buckets of bottled beer near the pools. You can have your glass beer stein at the pools, but no buckets of Coronas or Pacificos if that's your thing. They will sell you iced buckets of canned beer, but that's not the same. We found a deck server willing to sell us an iced bucket of Coronas, but we had to promise to keep it discreetly hidden under a towel.

We also learned that different bars on the same ship will have different beers on tap. If you don't like what you see available at one bar, check out the others until you find what you like.

you can bring alcohol on the ship, but there are limits.

They also have specials on the ship for beer and water if i recall...you can by 24 bottles of beer/water at the cost of 20 I believe.

The only limit is as much as you can carry in your carry ons. You have to carry it around until your room is ready, but that is not too difficult.

I bought Corona in the can and carried it on this last time. The bar gave me a glass filled with lime Much cheaper than buying on board.

We also have the glass for the occasions when we want a diff beer.
