Hello all, nice to 'meet you'
I am coming to AKL Kidani Feb 26 to Mar 5 with my DD and DGS3 and DGD1. We are getting quite excited. This is my first visit DVC. I hope this isn't a strange question but are the pillows adequate, do I need to bring mine? I think I read on here that the pool is across the street, is that right? (is there a map somewhere?) Thanks for any help/tips

I totally agree!!!! I've already thought of this. This will be only our 2nd trip to WDW and last time we stayed at POFQ. I even felt like I wish we had planned a day to spend there! So this time I'm making sure to have at least one whole day to enjoy AKL. Some people say "Why stay deluxe? All you do is sleep in the room!". Well, I totally feel that a WDW resort is part of the magic! Totally worth the extra $ if you make time to enjoy it!

Loved the pillows at Kidani.

Coming out of the entrance of Kidani, you just follow the sidewalk on the right. You won't be crossing a street.

Depends on what you mean by adequate? Soft enough, hard enough, small/large?

I would say if you have a special pillow due to neck issues or something bring it if you can. If you are just worried about having enough pillows, you can always call down & ask mousekeeping to bring you up a few more.

Amazing, thanks for the help. The map is great. Glad to know I don't have to cross the street to get to the pool but this place looks huge! Hope our room is not at the other end lol. Just booked a studio at Jambo house for April. Since we will have the mini kitchenette I was wondering what sorts of breakfast foods (bagels, milk, cheese, on, etc) are sold at Zawadi marketplace....also, how pricey??? May do GardenGrocer if Zawadi is limited.

Just back from AKL Thursday night. I forgot how much we loved it there. Someone (using my name and cc ) may have booked another trip for October. I told Dh I'm not sure how that happened quick question. We are staying CL again. Are all deluxe rooms A) bigger and B) CL? And if you hve stayed both deluxe and reg did you notice a difference. I swear our room was bigger last time. Scratching my head

The CL rooms are the same size as the regular rooms. There are no more "deluxe" rooms. They gutted those when they put DVC in.

OMG! I must have been subject to the same "thievery!" "Someone" must have obtained my CC information and names, and just rented DVC points for an August 2013 stay!

We were scheduled for a 4-night Dream cruise, but I found myself focusing more on our 2013 December return to AKL/AKV. I crunched some numbers, and determined that rented DVC points save us $500+ compared with the cruise! I can re-book DCL when the August 2014 dates are released (hoping for a return to NYC for the Magic).

We agreed that this would "only" be a resort stay -- no parks (horrible time of year to go to the parks, anyway). DS is thrilled, and so am I! Wa-hoo!
