Good Morning,
So I woke up at 2 - because it is Disney Day! And I just couldn't sleep. By 3am we found out that DH's 6am flight was CANCELLED we scrambled and this time booked him on a flight into Reagan instead of Dulles leaving at 6:15. GOD WILLING, he is on the plane right now and the door has closed. PLEASE GET IN THE AIR
Kids are still asleep - I have been on the phone now with Alamo (we always rent a car to drive down using Dh's airline miles so that we don't put the wear and tear on our cars) to try and move the reservation from dulles to reagan and they won't help me because it is a prepaid reservation through the airline and guess what? the airline award travel department is not open until 8am central time. So the best they could do was tell me to have DH go talk to the manager at alamo in reagan because he is technically in their system and paid so they should be able to work with him...
oh the drama - thankfully the drama is happening NOW and not when we arrive in my beloved DW.

I like the bright side I keep talking about this thread to my family, they think I've lost my mind, but I told them about Teena!! I said (and it's a long way off) that maybe we will get to meet her too when we are there!!!

I am truly so sorry that your family is going through this!!!

On the bright side................you could contact a writer and have a book written??? Sell it as a "Suspense Novel, Disney Style" Think of all the future Disney Vacation funds you could make from it!!! Just kidding, hoping to crack a smile out of you in such a crazy situation.

Oh ALMinVA, I'm so sorry that you are having all this drama right before you are suppose to be having a magical moment departing to the happiest place on earth. Well my friends,
DH is in the air, kids are back to excited and I called the YC CL folks to inform them of our late arrival. I happened to ask if our room had been assigned and they said YES, that we were placed in a lagoon pool view room with 2 queen beds and day bed.
Now - correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a bit of pixie dust?
I paid for a garden view room
Also, I had requested a day bed and that wish has been granted!

Must be all that pixie dust you folks have been sending our way
