I have been twice, and enjoyed it both times. While both times it was booked in advance, this past October we wanted to switch the time after we arrived at Castaway Cay. No problems doing so, but I will say one of the time slots we wanted was already full, and the one we swapped into was close to full. You should be ok waiting until you board to book, but be sure you have different time slots in mind in case your first choice is full.

We loved it.... tons of time to swim above them watching them swim. Lots of time feeding them as well. And we still had tons of time for bike riding, snorkeling and beach time.

Are there restrictions on using your own camera? We went on a Mexican Riviera cruise last year, and had to buy the photo package for our daughter's dolphin experience, since we couldn't use our own camera.

No restrictions at all! I took tons of photos with my underwater camera, and the first time we did the excursion I used my regular camera as well (and then put it up when we went snorkeling).

Just to give you an idea, everyone is at the feeding station pretty crunched up next to each other, so it might be somewhat difficult to get a picture of the person you are with if you are standing next to them. If you are in a group of four or more, you may want to stand on opposite sides of the feeder. They put 5 to 8 people at each station, so be sure you are all together, but split up when you get to the feeder.

This was taken during our first excursion...looks like the stingray is going to eat me whole! LOL
