Ugh! It is still soooo cold here! I had to bag tonight's run. I'm hoping it really does get up to the mid twenties over the weekend, because these single digits + below zero wind chills is just too much for me. I'm due for 11 mi this weekend.

If I do manage to land myself the custom molds before Princess those will be making the trip in my carry on. Those things are more important than the shoes themselves to me, and the brace. I know it sounds silly but I can experiment with a new shoe all day long as long as I have the proper support within the shoe. Meanwhile muttering every prayer I know that I can somehow slim down enough to fit in the Merida dress my Mom bought me for the race. Its not a real Merida dress (its just a dark blue halter top style dress with rhine stones on top) but its close enough. My weight has been all over the place the last year and it has come down a bit since New Year (last time I tried putting it on) so I am hoping it will fit before the race. If I have to I can go as Tink again but I would prefer not to. ![]() At least weight issues should hopefully be mostly a distant memories by the time the DDD rolls around at summers end since I am hopefully going to get a surgery done. If it absolutely comes to it I will be rocking that dress by then hopefully. |

With 30 days left, it seems like everyone has their own worries and plans to iron out - i know I do!! (still don't have a costume and haven't figured out my day-of plan).
But since today is a milestone of sorts, I wanted to reflect on the process that got us all this far. This is such an amazing group on Princesses and we've all already accomplished so much. I'm proud of myself and also of everyone who had embarked on this journey. We're amazing! Wishing everyone the best during the next month. Can't wait to see where our training will take us! With less than a month to go til my first half marathon, I'm excited to say the least!! Especially since its a rundisney event. My only regret at this time is that I did not find this forum sooner.
Hope everyone's training is going well! |

Hey guys want your opinion. Trying to decide where to eat for dinner on Thursday (this is a last minute change to travel plans). Out of the restaurants available I am looking at:
50's Prime Time Cafe (5:25 or 6:40) Coral Reef (Current Reservation there thinking of changing) Mama Melrose (7:05 after park closing to hit as many rides as possible (MGM (yes I still call it that) is my second favorite park right after MK), not doing Fantasmic) Sci-Fi Dine In Theater (7:05 same reason as Mama Melrose) I'm hitting MK on Friday and Saturday so I was thinking the afternoon/evening at one of the other parks would be nice. What do you guys think? Edited to remove the AK options. My main problem right now is I can't decide whether or not I actually want to wait a full year before riding the new Test Track. I wasn't that big on the old one to begin with but I am curious about it. Last edited by StarGirl11; 01-24-2013 at 11:04 PM. |

I have a quick question for everyone thats run princess before, is it impossible to get around the morning before the race if you don't stay at the park? I just finished with Tink and we didn't stay in the park but just walked to the start. I think the only place you can do that from in the park is port orleans. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to stay in the park or not (as a side note when we go we almost always stay in the park, but this year doing two races has strained the budget a little!)

Not sure about walking from POR. But a heads up if you go to the bus route, get there early, and I mean early! I got there maybe 3:45 last year and it took me nearly a half hour to get on the bus from the front of the resort. It got so long at one point it was all the way back to the bridge.

The stomach flu has hit my house, DD 5 has it. THe poor thing.
![]() I just pray that it ends quick and no one else in the house gets it. I have no love for the flu. I am to do 11 miles tomorrow. I may have to rethink that plan. |

Sorry, I didn't want to mislead anyone. Of course there are smaller airports, so I guess MCO would be medium sized? Not having to clear customs at MCO ( we do that at our home airport) and to go through baggage claim might help a bit.

Ok ladies, I think I might have become officially insane.
Last night I think I over hydrated before my run... It made for a very painfull run on a full bladder. Consequently, I had a dream. I was running the course prior to the half, with the course map in hand and writing down all the spots where there where porta potties.... Considering that I only wanted to stop at the real restrooms in MK, I was slightly grossed out when I woke up. Just imagine that... Having to stop at EVERY row of porta potties for the whole half! ![]() I'm I the only one with such nightmares? |
