The thing swooped down, hit me in the face with its wing, scooped up my dog, and flew away

Thanks guys! When I said something from private dining, I was thinking more like a cheese platter and some wine or something. But thinking more about it, we will be going during F&W so we could always just pick something up there. Plus we will have a car, so if I really want, I could always run out and get something at a fraction of the "Disney price."
There will be 7 of us total, so I think we will be OK with the seating, but thanks for that heads up. I really hope that the "wind gods" are with us that night, and we wont be eating any soot with our snacks!

Good point. Maybe it depends on the captain you get, but our's took us down to DHS, gave us some WDW history, pointed out what we were seeing, and cut-up with everyone. It was a very enjoyable experience, and that's all before Illuminations.
