Portable Fans
I have read many of the threads about bringing portable fans but have not found an answer to the question I'm looking for. We are flying, therefore we are planning in buying a fan when we get to Florida. Can we just put a luggage tag on the box and check it with out luggage at the port?

Good question. We bought a small fan, but I'd rather have a big one.

Yes. We packed all of our FE exchange in two cardboard boxes and put luggage tags on them. The guy at the curb will warn you that doing so is at your own risk. Arrived in our room safe and sound.

Just a little update. We could not find a fan anywhere in Orlando, not even Wal Mart!! We were shocked!! But there is a K Mart in St Thomas and we picked one up there are had no problems bringing it on board. Our room steward Jannett was very pleased to have it left for her.
