End of October... Besides food and wine....

Anything else going on at that time that would lead to higher crowd levels? We will be there oct 26- nov 2nd. Just want to make sure it's not cheer competition time or tour groups etc. thanks!

Last time we were at Disney World was about the same date as you and we only had one very busy day which was just crazy buzy (like an hour wait to eat at Pinocchio in Magic Kingdom!).

I think if you skip Halloween party, you will be fine with crowds. It's a very nice moment to visit Disney World for you get to enjoy some Halloween fun, the weather is awesome and crowds are not to high. Plus, the Food and Wine festival is just amazing!

The Halloween parties at MK tend to be more crowded right around Halloween.

We've been there at that time the last few years and have not had cheer groups or big tour groups. Crowds were very manageable.

We were at the world Oct. 26-Nov. 4, 2012. The crowds were not bad until our last park day on Sat. Nov. 3. That day was insane at MK. Wait times were very long and there were a ton of rides down all at once. We ended up only doing the Tiki Room and Country Bears and then leaving the park (we tried PotC and Splash, but they were both down). Other than that we had no problems. It was extrememly cold that week, but I think it was unusual for that time of year. Our last two days finally got to the upper 70s, but the other days were in the 50s and 60s. Brrrr!

This year our fall break is the week before. Hoping for better weather this year!

ETA: There were 5 halloween parties during our trip last year, so we bought hopper passes for the first time. They came in handy that trip, so you might consider getting them for more flexibility.

We were there in 2011 during that time. The crowds and weather were great. We are going back this year during that time, too. We love it! The only busy day we encountered was on a Saturday at Magic Kingdom.
We also did the Halloween party the night before Halloween. It was crowded but totally manageable.

Crowds that time of year are always pretty manageable. The MNSSHP is a sell out on Halloween night and you stay away from the F&W on the weekends. F&W gets jammed Friday night through Sunday. We really have not seen alot of tour groups at all that time of year. The weather is 98% of the time perfect. No afternoon thunder storms, little or no humidity, 80s in the day, high 60s - low 70s at night. We have had a couple of "cool" days but nothing a sweatshirt could not handle. Florida weather is unpredictable so you never know.

Last year there was the wind from Hurricane Sandy and they had to cancel Illuminations and the weather was windy the first couple of days.

Favorite time of the year to go!
