Applying a deposit to another reservation?
Can this be done at all?
I have 2 reservations. One is a package, and one is just 3 nights at a hotel. I want to cancel the hotel, and extend my package. I had to pay for 1 night hotel stay as a deposit, and I wanted that amount to be applied toward my existing package reservation, as opposed to them crediting my credit card. Namely because I am Canadian, and the refund with exchange means I'll lose money. So I'd rather just apply it to the other one. Anyone know if this can be done? or had success in doing so? |

Because the Room Only reservations and the Package reservations are in two separate systems, funds cannot be moved from one to another. Sorry. |

Last year when I switched from a room only to a package I had to put a new deposit down and wait for a refund from the room only (credit on card account,) however, there are those on the DIS who have reported being able to transfer room only money directly to a new package, so @ least ask when you call to change your reservation.
