I have a tip you can teach them for when you are out and about on the ship to tell what way to go look at the carpet, there are anchor patterns in it 2 anchors facing opposite directions,
RED arrows/anchors point AFT
BLUE arrows/anchors point FORWARD

Maybe your kids could research the different ships, learn their sizes, speed, etc. if you wanted to be cruel you could make them learn the different stateroom categories lol

Neat about Chip & Dale! I never could tell those 2 apart! We are learning a lot of that info about the Wonder. I hadn't thought of including stateroom categories, though!

These are words my kids BETTER already have a firm grasp on! (as well as yes/no ma'am and sir - we are a very southern family!)

I'm making vocabulary cards in the shape of a cruise ship (generic ships, not necessarily DCL) with the vocabulary words printed on them. I'll have DS write the definition on the back and then we'll put the cards in a pocket in our lap book.

If anyone would like me to send the vocab cards once I get them made, I'd be glad to. Or if someone could tell me how to attach a document to this thread, that would be great, too!

Cruise Staff (also called Club Hosts)...these are the crew members that welcome you onboard, run all the game shows, MC at shows and in the night clubs, DJ, dance at all the deck parties, work behind the excursion desk, work the character visit lines, etc. and you will pretty much see them around the ship from sun-up until well after
midnight! They are a huge part of the cruise experience!
