formal dining on fantasy 7 night?
I know what the recommended dress code is, but how do most people dress on formal night in regular dining rooms, not palo or remy. I dont mind casual dress up. Slacks and polo, but dont want to do the suit, jacket, or tie thing.

Personally I love getting into the occasion and go all out. And I don't let what others are wearing affect my experience. I shake my head sometimes, but doesn't keep me from having a good time.

You will see literally everything from guys with ripped jeans to guys in tux and military dress uniforms....women in "what is that" sort of outfits to ball gowns. The vast majority are in the middle toward the dressy end--cocktail dresses or something like one might wear to an evening wedding.
If you don't want to bring a jacket, you don't have to. You won't be out of place. However, a jacket is REQUIRED in Remy. |

I tend to be an extreme over packer, so for me it's just one more outfit! I bring a tux for formal and semi formal night, and a suit for Palo as well as a pirate costume. Thank goodness for my travel scale!!!!

My hubby doesnt wear a suit coat- he wears his dress pants, shirt and tie. You will see all different types on formal night- tuxes to jeans!
Have a good cruise!

On my upcoming cruise I am planning to rent a tuxedo rather than having to pack mine. It may not be the most stylish, but I'm sure it's passable and at least it saves packing space. I believe that one can rent suits as well.

I do nice dresses but not evening gowns. anywhere from skirt and cute top to a little black dress. My husband usually wears a button up and dress pants. sometimes a jacket.

If we are packing for air travel before a cruise, then formal is a cocktail dress, fancy jewlery & wrap for me, suit for DH. Semi-formal - same cocktail dress, less fancy jewelry; shirt and tie for DH.
For cruises with no air travel involved, I have a long gown (which I've worn with and withouth tiara) for formal night; and again a suit for DH. Semi-formal could be either my cocktail dress, or dress black pants with a sparkley top; and the shirt & tie or dress shirt and jacket for DH.
