Thank you for your review.
Our trip is in just over 2 weeks and I've been fretting over my dining choices (I made ADR's at 180+10 and haven't looked back ... now I'm starting to question based on some mixed reviews). This was one I was worried about based on mixed reviews. This was one that I was most excited about (it's our first time at Ohana - and I booked a breakfast and a dinner), and then I've been reading some reviews that were not stellar. I'm going to stick with it.

I think one of the tricks to 'Ohana is getting an early ADR.
We've always had ADRs before 5:30 (easier said than done as the early ADRs go fast) and have always had very good food and service (for example, have not experienced the dry meat that some complain about). This is not to say that you can't have a great meal at this restaurant with a later ADR (it just seems that most of the negative reviews I've read have come from folks with later ADRs). Another trick is not expecting the same level of quality as you'd get in a higher end Brazilian steakhouse (for example, if you frequent some place like Fogo de Chao, you may come away disappointed). A final trick is to COME HUNGRY (and save some room for dessert ).

I'm glad you liked it. We have never had a bad experience there. Our reservations have almost always been late enough we could see wishes. We tend to eat later lunches and then later dinners.

I went to 'Ohana for ym first time last November and had a so-so experience. everything was going pretty good (wasn't absolutely thrilled by anything) until they brought us out chicken that was still raw in the middle. That made me lose my appetite real quick.
I would defintiely give it another go sometime, just not going to go out of my way to go there.

Got it booked in March and looking forward to this one the most. I've tried every trip to book O'hanas and it was always too late or booked.

Nope. Not true. My ADR in August was at 520pm. Even thou we got seated promptly, the food was not good. Steak was poor quality and dry. Wings were slimy. Chicken was good. But the pork was horrendous! Never again to be honest. Glad I tried it, but I wont be rushing back.

I too am glad to hear such a positive review as we have never been and I'm planning on it for our trip in August. I want the kids to go somewhere that is fun and that they will remember.

Ohana is easily in my top five restaurant favorites (if not higher) on property, but unfortunately not the case for DW, DD10 and DD8. Seriously, who doesn't love meat on a stick?! It's the American way!
