Best places for PhotoPass Plus
I have never used this before but have ordered it for our trip in 2 weeks.
For those with experience, where are the best places that are a must for photos? I'm so used to skipping by the photographers, I may forget to stop and this trip I want to have some great photos. So - for all parks, does anyone have any "must" do photo ops that we should take advantage of with PPP? TIA |

magic photos
My favorite PP pics were the magic photos. We had them taken on Main Street USA and in Animal KIngdom with Tinker Bell in our hands.
I heard that in the new Fantasyland, you can have them with Sebastian or Chip (as in Chip the teacup) near the Beast's castle. We got a real nice photo of the whole family when leaving future world with Cinderella's castle as our backdrop. |

Wow, I didn't know about this option. Just read up on it and might have to do it myself. Not being familiar with WDW photos, is it as good of a deal as it sounds?

We have gotten some great photos in world Showcase in Epcot. Keep your eyes out for photographers over there. We have some in the evening and some in daylight that have turned out really well. There is usually a photographer over around the bridge by France in the late afternoon and evenings. Also, if it happens to rain when you are in Epcot, those photographers go inside. We have some great photopass pics inside the Mexico pavillion. We have some of us standing nice, and then the guy took us down to the sombrero sales area and put some hats on our heads and took pictures. Those were my favorite pictures of that whole trip. The main thing to help you get your money's worth, is just to remember that when you see a photopass photographer stop (obviously not 20 times by the castle
). Also, if castle pics (or other of the main park icons) are important to you, don't just stop once. Stop at a couple of different angles, or a couple of different times a day when the sun is in different places. We have come back and found that a whole group of our castle shots were awful, but with a different photographer they turned out fantastic. Also, if you feel like you are squinting in a picture because the sun is in your face, you probably are!

The magic shots can be taken from any pp photographer not using a tripod and just ask for them

I have used both types of photopass and found that the photographers took more pictures when I presented the Plus card, they offered more magic shots too. As someone said, if they aren't using a tripod they can do magic shots, and in one case on a slow day a photographer in DHS took her camera off the tripod and had us move to some benches near Little mermaid where she did about 8 magic shots with various characters with us! We did learn that it was important to show them your Plus card before having pictures done at meal times so that they would know to automatically bring the prints to our table since they are included in the price, otherwise we had to make a trip to a photopass desk and have it added to our card then pick up the pics later (it only took us once to learn this lesson, and it really wasn't our fault, a new photopass person was on duty taking pictures and didn't understand the process)

The magic shots are done for normal photopass-using people.
PP+ gives you normal photopass experiences, AND it gives you the digital images of the ride photos AND it gives you the print packages and digital images from the character meals you do that have print packages. So to maximize the PLUS portion, you want to go on rides with ride photos, and make sure to get those pix added to your account. And you want to do the character meals with the picture at the beginning (like posing with Mickey at Chef Mickey, Donald at Tusker House breakfast (and lunch, they added lunch to the + option too)). With Plus, you'll get a voucher in the mail that you bring to the park and you take it to a photo center where you turn it in for a special card that hangs from a lanyard. Now that lanyard can indicate to a Photopass photographer that you've prepaid and you want to get value, so *some* might, if they have time, take more pictures than they might normally take. But anyone can get the magic shots; you just have to ask, and the photographer has to have the capability.

Are the character meals automatically added free of charge or do you have to purchase them for them to be added. I know regular PP they would add if you purchased package. With PPP are they included in the cost of PPP??
