First time at Disney being 21! Suggestions?!
Just booked Disney spring break trip for this March! We're all 21/22 and none of us have been to Disney since turning 21, so we're excited to explore the "grown-up" side of things. So what is there for the 21+ crowd?
We'll be staying at Saratoga Springs for a week (Sunday through Saturday). We will probably only do like 2 park days though (still determining that). We chose SSR since it's within walking distance of Downtown Disney. Here's what I've heard of so far: EPCOT -Drinking around the World Boardwalk -Jellyrolls -Atlantic Dance Hall Downtown Disney -Splitsville -Raglan Road with Irish dancing/house band (I was in Ireland this time last year, so I hope this is fun!) -Bongos Cuban Cafe (Latin music Fri-Sat) -Paradiso 37 (international wine and tequila bar) Resorts -Monorail resorts bar crawl -Rix Lounge at Coronado Springs -River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans (Ye Haa Bob Weds-Sat) Also, any hints as to where we can find the younger side of the 21+ spectrum would be greatly appreciated! We're also interested in perhaps taking a cab to go out in Orlando outside of Disney, so I'd love to hear any suggestions for that! Thanks in advance

House of blues in DTD on a Sunday night is a bunch of fun!!! Depending on the kind of music you like, there are different DJ's and music on weekend nights. Definitely check out the website : )

Sunday Night is Service Industry Night, unless they are CM's or employees of another theme park/hotel chain they won't be able to get in.

You won't need to worry about walking distances, as you can take a bus from the parks and Downtown Disney to your resort. I would say EPCOT would be your best park, as the attractions are designed for a more older crowd. (Not that there wont be kids there, cause it is Disney!) If you want to do drinking around the world make sure you bring your wallet as it will be very expensive. Also I would recommend really pacing yourself, it should take all day not 2-3 hours. If you share drinks at some countries that would cut down on costs, and drunkeness. You don't want to get kicked out for being drunk, and yes it does happen. I have never been to Jellyrolls or any of those places you listed at Downtown Disney but I have heard they are fun. If you take a cab to Orlando it will cost you at least $45 each way, as it is not close. I would advise against doing that if you don't have anyone familiar with the area with you.

Why don't you go to City Walk at Universal? That's pretty fun.
And you could always take the party bus that CPs take...you don't have to be a CP.For like 10 bucks, you take a bus to the club, it usually includes cover/fees to get in, and around 2 they drop you back off where you met them at. Usually they pick up in front of Vista or Chatham apartments. Have fun whatever you decide to do!

You can still get in even if you don't work in the hospitality industry, you just have to pay a cover charge. If you're looking for the young crowd that's the place to be. It's full of CPs and young cast members. CityWalk is also good!

Thank you so much for all of the advice!!
Would it be weird for non-service industry people to show up to House of Blues on Sunday night? I think the cover is $8 according to the website. Are there any other clubby nights at HOB? We'll definitely be pacing ourselves with Drinking Around the World. And I believe you that getting kicked out does happen! I can imagine! Yeah I guess going into general Orlando to go out doesn't make much sense. CityWalk at Universal sounds like a really good idea! I'll definitely suggest that we take one night to do that. I read that taxis from Disney resorts to there would be $35 flat rate for up to 7 people... can anyone confirm that? Is there anywhere I could find out more info about that party bus? Does it take you to CityWalk or other clubs? Is the $10 roundtrip? Also for HOB and CityWalk, how much do drinks typically cost? We go to school in Boston, so we're unfortunately accustomed to high drink prices! Thanks again everyone-- any other ideas appreciated!

If you're paying $45 for a cab to downtown orlando from anywhere in disney you're getting hustled. It should be more like $60-$70 for a round trip including tip. Call several different companies and compare prices before committing to any taxi service.

For the party busses, there are two main ones. One ran by Kelvin and one by Wil the Photographer. As far as I know (it might have changed), they don't take you to City Walk. Depends on the bus and the day of the week of what clubs they go to. VAiN, Roxxy, The Beacham, are some of the clubs that they frequent. (I will say that Roxxy while fun, is in the middle of no where...lol) Sorry I don't know about the drink prices...me and my friends usually pre-gamed and guys brought our drinks when we got to the clubs lol . (Also, if you are trying to buy drinks, the resorts sells hard liquor....and there is a liquor store at the Walgreens outside of Vista...kinda right down the street from one of the Disney gates...just throwing that out there lol) Have fun and be safe!!!
