Probably Needing to Cancel Cruise

And put insurance to test. Will make final decisions in the next few days but I don't see any way I can travel right now due to severe illness and Dr agrees. If/when I call insurance, do I need to provide anything at that point or just tell them I need to cancel and they send me paperwork? Just want to be prepared

I'm not sure, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you are having health issues and that you have to cancel your vacation. Hopefully you will have good luck with the insurance and will be able to go again in the near future!

Well, each company is different, but when I called about a claim they offered to e-mail me the site where I could print the forms or if I preferred they'd send me the forms. That's all I needed to get started. The forms were very easy. Basically fill out, attach proof of loss, attach doctor's statement.

Been there ,done that.........less that 72 hours from cruising on the Dream back in May 2011. Every thing worked out well, it was around the second week in July, we recieved all our cruise money back minus the insurance of coarce. We wish you well on your health ........and remember you can always cruise again some other time.....we did, we went on the Magic for 5 days in late April, 2012 and 3 days later we went on the Dream in May for 3 days .
