AlohaPolynesian will be at Disney World again from 1/21 - 1/24, this time with her sister and nieces.
She will again be doing live updates for us!



dreamscometrue101 will be taking her niece to WDW to celebrate her 10th birthday (a couple of months early).
They will be there from 1/21 - 1/26 and she has volunteered to do live update for us while there!



CaliBear will be there from 1/21 - 1/26 and has offered to do live updates for us during her trip!

Ok, it's time to start today's updates, beginning with our First Update of the Day sent to us by Becky (BlovesC).



Intermission Food Court



Becky said, "Good morning Barb! We had to have another food court breakfast, since we're behind on using QS credits thanks to my TS ADRs!"




"Here is 2/3 of the ASMU food court menu..."








"And the last 1/3!...."










All-Star Bounty Platter - scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, breakfast potatoes, biscuit, sausage and bacon
(minus the meats, but with extra french toast sticks)


Becky said, "I had the Bounty Platter minus the bacon and sausage again. This time they gave me extra French Toast sticks to make up for it, awww."

After telling Becky that she had the first update of the day once again she replied, "Yay, first update! I told Charlie that and he said "that's because you don't let me SLEEP!" bwahaha!"

Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast - Two Poached Eggs, Kalamata Olive Toast, Artichoke Spread, and Sweet Potato Hash with Chicken Sausage



"We decided to share the waffles and stacked Kouzzina breakfast. The waffles were super tasty, especially with the mascarpone. We really enjoyed the stacked breakfast. It was well cooked and the flavors went well together. Would definitely come back!"

carobear said, "After walking around the Boardwalk a bit, we saw corn nuggets. While we weren't really hungry, we had to try them (we love corn nuggets and didn't know they had them at Disney). Super tasty."

Chris said, "We just had a wonderful lunch at Cooke's of Dublin and the Hole in the Wall bar. I started with a Miller lite..."













"The best scallops according to my husband. He loved them."








"This is my husband, Bob, and a scallop."








"See. He really enjoyed them."








"And this was my fish & chips. It was pretty good. The fish was greasy. But the fries were excellent."

Received an update this afternoon from disneybride96.


She said, "Stopped for lunch at The Mara at AKL before hitting Downtown Disney and on to our "home" Beach Club Villas."




First a menu pic...












"DH and I both had the half chicken with couscous. Very nice, but I have had more flavorful rotisserie chicken."








"And of course, one last Zebra dome (you get 5!) and a piece of chocolate peanut cake. The cake didn't taste much like peanut at first, but hit you at the end."

This thread is great for getting over the post-Disney World trip blues! I had never thought about having dinner at the Crew's Cup Lounge but it looks really tasty. I'm getting tons of ideas for our trip in December and its still so far away!

SO EXCITED to be doing the live updates again. With my nieces being so young, my sister didn't want to do too many sit down meals. We do have one ADR for 1900PF, though. Can't wait!

Also, not sure if I mentioned it or not - my nieces don't know they are going to Disney! My sister is waking them up tomorrow with bags packed and ready to go to the airport. Then I'll be waiting at the hotel for surprise #2!!

Totally agree! It's so sad to go home...but it's fun to come back to this thread and dream about my next trip, whenever that may be!

Becky said, "Well I'd planned on going back to DTD for dinner tonight but after an afternoon swimming we were too lazy to go there! So here's yet another ASMU meal! This is Charlie's pepper steak. He said it tasted like it had been sitting around all day."

"I got the chicken quesadilla, which actually wasn't bad except for the side. CM: "Onions?" Me: "No, no onion."
CM: Proceeds to dump a scoop of onions on top."

She said, "We drover over to CityWalk to check it out and get dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. My sister loves Forrest Gump."

Hand Breaded Coconut Shrimp, Chilly Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, and Japanese style Tempura Shrimp with Fries.


"My sister got the Shrimper's Heaven. It was tasty."







“I’m Stuffed!” Shrimp
Large Shrimp with Crab Stuffing, baked in Garlic Butter, and topped with Monterey Jack Cheese. Served with Jasmine Rice



"I chose the "I'm Stuffed!" Shrimp. Unfortunately this disappointing. It had plenty of crab. It just wasn't seasoned at all. So bland. Had to sprinkle salt and lemon all over it to make it decent. Also could have used some more sauce."






Then carobear also sent a couple of snack updates.



She said, "We grabbed this churro while at CityWalk. It was a typical churro. Good."









"We got these at Singing Spirits (Pool Bar) at All-Star Music. I think they were called Lava Smoothies. Love these!"

10 oz. beef tenderloin served with roasted potatoes in a mixed mushroom sauce



"Ok. Here is where it went bad. DH had the mushroom filet. Ordered medium rare. When it came out it was medium well. DH was not happy. The waitress was right there and did everything possible to make sure it was ok. He sent it back and by the time he got his meal, I was done. The second steak was cooked perfect. We usually don't complain but they comped his meal. Wow. Great service. Would definitely go back."

I agree, I've never even been over to the swolphin!! I like the reviews from there lately! And cocktails......mmmmmm
