"Mike had a burger with blue cheese and onion rings (no pic). He loved it as well."




"We shared the banana bread with peanut butter for dessert. It was excellent! Slices of banana bread with peanut butter in the middle, like a sandwich. It was served with vanilla ice cream and banana caramel sauce. Out of this world yummy! Sorry I don't have a pic though. I checked the photo I took and it looks like a big thing of poo."

"For dinner DH and I split the Chicken Campanelle..."





"It came out already split for us. DH enjoyed this more than I did. I liked it, but I found it to be very heavy and I could only manage half of my half. DH finished the rest."

"She really liked this and ate almost all of it. Thumbs up from the pickiest child alive."





"DS ordered the steak and macaroni..."





"He said it tasted OK and he really liked the macaroni. But DH and I found this be a very poor cut of meat. It was very difficult to cut and there seemed to be a lot of gristle and fat."




"For dessert, DH and I shared the Amaretto Cheesecake..."





"Both of us really liked this. It was good and creamy and had a nice amaretto flavor."

"Overall, this restaurant was a mixed bag. Our service was very kind and efficient and we liked him very much. The chef came out to talk to us because DD has a peanut allergy and I noticed a lot of things with nuts on the menu. He was very nice and upbeat. He said the things that DD had already picked out to order would be fine. So service was good. The food was OK. There were some things we really liked, but other things didnt measure up. I am not sure we would go back here again with so many other options to choose from."

That just leaves our final update from Lauren (Giselle22), as her trip ended today , and the first update from a new reporter, disneybride96, who just arrived. But these will have to wait until tomorrow, 'cause it's long past my bedtime.

Just like your DD, I'm also home for the holiday weekend, so I've had some time to read a few updates. Lots of great stuff today!

First of all, I was so excited to see my Beaches & Cream banana bread pic make a cameo appearance. Thanks for giving me credit (I recently saw one of my pics used in a dining review with no credit given - that seems rude to me)

Next - it's great to see the temporary Boardwalk kiosk is still offering cupcakes! I really liked that strawberry one over the summer.

I also really enjoyed reading the Crew's Cup Lounge update. A lot of the menu is shared with Captain's Grille (the clam chowder, crab cake, fried rock shrimp, mussels & clams, beef short ribs, lobster sliders, sirloin steak, chicken, pasta creation, and the banana cheesecake), and since I really like Captain's Grille, that's good news!

Finally, I'm glad Becky also loved the avocado gelato that accompanied the sustainable fish tacos at The Wave! That was such a delicious appetizer, and the lime sorbet, pico de gallo sorbet, and avocado gelato were fantastic additions IMO.

First up this morning is the first update received from a new reporter, disneybride96.


She and her DH arrived at Disney World yesterday and they had their first Disney meal at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's...

For their last Disney meal, Lauren's group had dinner at the Grand Floridian's...


1900 Park Fare




Lauren said, "Last night we had our last Disney meal at 1900 Park Fare. It was so much fun! The stepsisters are great entertainment. And the food was all really good, especially considering that it's a buffet. Everyone agreed that the beef strip loin in particular was excellent. It was too difficult to try to get pics of everyone's plates, so I just took my own."







"On my first plate I've got alfredo pasta (very good), vegan noodle salad (excellent), greens with mango vinaigrette (yummy), beef strip loin (mmmmm), and roasted veggie salad (good but it's cold; I prefer my squash warm. However, the tomatoes in this were amazing!)."









"On my second plate I got some fresh watermelon and strawberries, then raided the kids station for mac 'n cheese and green beans. Both were good. I also had some butternut squash soup and a piece of french bread. I was a little apprehensive about the soup because it seemed awfully thick, but it tasted really good! I also tried the strawberry soup; it's great! Everyone liked it. Some other things the buffet offered that others in my party enjoyed were a create-your-own pasta station, fresh peel-and-eat shrimp, sushi, and a shepherd's pie."








"For dessert I tried cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and a berry tart. All yummy!
Overall, we were all very impressed with the quality of food here."





"We have a Photopass Plus card so we got to keep the picture package for no extra charge. It comes in a super cute envelope with one 5x7 and four 4x6s. Also on the inside of the envelope is a cute little card with the recipe for strawberry soup! I believe this costs about $30 regularly."

And now for Lauren's description of the character interaction her group had with the characters from Cinderella, which appear at 1900 Park Fare Dinner.


"Dinner at 1900 Park Fare was a blast! In the first pic of Anastasia, she's upset with my dad because when she first came up she asked if he was a prince and he said yes. But then he told her he was married and pointed out his kids!"








"We pointed out my brothers, though, and let her know that they were eligible princes! Drizella popped in to see what Anastasia was doing with all of those men."













"When Drizella came by on her own later, we pointed out my older brother as a prince for her! Then she took a pic with all three of the young men, too."







"Lady Tremaine stopped by and said how nice it was to have a table full of adults. She said "Oh, this is nice. No one has sticky fingers and no one will want to hug me-ugh." She had my friend and I make angry glares while we posed with her."








"Cinderella and Prince Charming stopped by too, of course, but they're just not as fun! Anastasia and Drizella got into a big fight at one point and their mother had to come pull them apart, and later on they got a couple little girls together and sang "Sing Sweet Nightingale" just like in the movie--and I mean JUST like in the movie! haha They sounded terrible and we loved it!"



"We had a really great time at Disney World and I can't wait to go back and take more food pics for you!"
