Beer at POFQ? - The DIS Discussion Forums

My BIL wants to get some beer for the room.. Can you get it at the snack shop? What kinds do they have? Cost?
I read about take a bus from DTD to Blizzard beach.. walk across the street to Hess and get it there..
But looking for an easier route. But wanted to know about the resort option first...
March 1st can't come quick enough

They have beer in the shop. It's mostly bud from memory, some wine coolers and such. It's not the biggest selection but the other option would be take the boat to DTD and walk across to the Hess garage there.

You might be able to get Abita at POFQ. That's a pretty good beer. My recollection is that the beers are pricey, maybe $20 for a 12 pack of domestic. Garden Grocer will deliver and they have a decent selection of beers. Beer Run supposedly does as well and has a very good list of beers but I've never used it. http://www.beerrun.biz/. Whole Foods in Orlando delivers to the resorts but (1) I don't know if they deliver beer and (2) there's a $30 delivery charge plus tip. http://wholefoodsmarket.com/service/orlando-delivery.

We are arriving March 1 as well. Can't wait.

We are arriving on the same day!!

We can hardly wait. My sister's family have NEVER been.. even the parents.. so we want this trip to be the most MAGICAL trip for them. Since we have been 7 times before.. I am doing alot of it myself and making my list.
Where are you staying?

http://www.beerrun.biz/ is an option, but I don't know how far they are from POFQ.

Beer from Disney is expensive and the selection is limited. Unless you're only getting a couple of bottles/cans, just about anything else would be cheaper.

We used them last February. They were great. We had it delivered to the resort the morning of checkin. As soon as we got to the room, we called and had it brought to the room. Nice and easy!!!

Staying at POR or one of the values the first night then at Polynesian after that. Booked Poly using the 35% of discount.
