Yum, Yum, Yummy!! They are soooo good.

My dh & I always get one and eat it together - they are so large that we can't each eat one. Also they are so well smoked, that eating the whole thing would be too much of the one flavor for me.

Understand that they are not for everyone - but neither is any other food/restaurant for everyone

I hate starbucks burned coffee - others love it - so to each their own.

That's one food at Disney that I have no desire to try it. The look and size of it isn't appealing to me.

I guess they're good as they are very popular.
But then again I'm didn't like Tonga toast.

I thought I was the only one! The 1st time I said it out loud, people looked at me as if I'd just fallen from the sky!

P.S. Zebra Domes I find to be a bit dry and not to my taste either!

I normally like turkey legs at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I like chicken legs, also. HOWEVER, there is something about those served at WDW and other parks that stinks to high heaven. Oh my gosh, the smell makes me nauseated. On top of the smell, I see people walking around with them and yanking off meat with their teeth and all I can think is "you look like a caveman". It is almost enough to make me decide to be a vegetarian.

OH and I tried one a few years ago while waiting in line for Fantasmic. Turkey meat smoked to the point that it tastes like ham...

They're good if you take the time to remove the nice meat from the bone with a fork and knife. That way, you don't chew on the harder bits.

However, the shank is really delicious, but then again, we eat it with a fork and knife, removing the meat from the bone and the fat.

That's what we do as well. We like them. Wouldn't want to make a steady diet of them, but they are fun to do as the occasional meal. My DH and I also split one which is plenty and that makes the calorie count more reasonable. I suspect people would be shocked at the amount of calories and sodium in most of those quick service meals. It's all basically fast food. Typically very high in calories, fat and sodium. But, I don't generally go to an amusement park to eat healthy. It's the time I indulge in all the bad food behaviors I want.

They even have turkey leg air freshers. YUCK! DH calls them ham hocks! Lol! Love turkey, hate smoked turkey legs! But the new pork shank at Gastons is pretty good!
