Is there a Master List of Cruise Forumn Acronyms?

I'm just starting to plan our first cruise and am enjoying reading this board but find there are many acronyms used.

Is there a master list of them anywhere?

There are lots of helpful acronyms being explained in this thread that are not part of Awesome Sticky #9 above. I'm going to begin to try and summarize the answers given below in this first post so that others can use this too if they wish.

ABD Adventures By Disney

DCL Disney Cruise Line

Dining Room Initials:

R - Royal Palace - Dream
R - Royal Court - Fantasy
E - Enchanted Garden - Dream & Fantasy
P - Parrot Cay - Magic and Wonder
L - Lumiere's - Magic
T - Tritons - Wonder
A - Animator's Palate - Magic and Wonder and Dream and Fantasy

Grouped together (e.g. APLAPL or other letters grouped in that fashion) is the dining rotations onboard

IGT Inside Guarantee

OGT Oceanview Guarantee

VGT Verandah Guarantee

WDT Walt Disney Theater

Look at Sticky #9, FAQ alphabetical list of info.

If you don't find a "translation" there, ask us specifically to "decode" what you can't figure out.

There was one the other day that I can't remember and today's was 'WDT' in relation to a theater.

Hmmm...now guessing it might stand for Walt Disney Theater? Just as guess as I don't know the ship at all...yet!

Walt Disney Theatre. Where the big evening shows take place.

Possibly ABD? Adventures By Disney. It's an add-on for more detailed excursions and programs.

Do you mean IGT, OGT and VGT possibly? They stand for Inside Guarantee, Oceanview Guarantee and Verandah Guaranty and are special rates that DCL releases on some some sailings. You don't get assigned a stateroom until a few weeks or days in some cases before your cruise.

Or, if you see something like APLAPL or other letters grouped in that fashion is the dining rotations onboard.

APL would be Animators, Parrot Cay and Lumieres and then repeat the dining rotation.

Dining Room Initals would be:

R - Royal Palace - Dream
R - Royal Court - Fantasy
E - Enchanted Garden - Dream & Fantasy
P - Parrot Cay - Magic and Wonder
L - Lumieres - Magic
T - Tritons - Wonder
A - Animator's Palate - Magic and Wonder and Dream and Fantasy

Depending on which ship you are on would determine which set of letters make up your dining rotation (based on what dining rooms are on your ship).

We'll be sailing on the Fantasy but not until Feb 2014 so lots of time to learn what I can from the great people on DISboards!
